CPD: Integrating Climate Education In Your School

Integrating Climate and Sustainability Education In Your School

This one hour, interactive CPD session is designed for all teachers, or all staff including teaching assistants. It covers information about the climate crisis and how schools can respond and it provides the opportunity for staff to come up with ideas for how the school can start to reduce its carbon footprint. It will also give teachers the opportunity to collaborate on ideas to include climate and sustainability across all subject areas and age groups.

Our climate education programme (formerly known as Zero Carbon Schools) includes two CPD sessions, and we are pleased to now be able to offer a combined version of these as a standalone session. So if you are at the beginning of your school’s sustainability journey or you want your staff to develop greater confidence to take action on climate change and to weave the topic more into your the learning of pupils at your school, book a session today.

The CPD session can be delivered in person to state funded schools at a cost of £350 or online at a cost of £195. (Independent school costs: in person – £550, online – £345)

“I liked how it the session was backed up by research. Great range of ideas as to how we can integrate climate and nature into lessons, especially outdoors to ignite and sustain children’s understanding, stewardship and enjoyment of our world.”

Staff member at St Mary’s Bryanston Square CofE Primary School in Westminster

“The best part of the session was talking about how to address climate change as a collective rather than as individuals.”

Staff member, Shoreditch Park Primary School in Hackney
